Can health food and food be produced on the same line?

If the ingredients of health food can also be used for general food, the health food is allowed to share production sites and facilities with general food. The production conditions of shared sites and facilities should also comply with the General Principles for Food Production License Review and its related rules, General Principles for Health Food Production License Review, General Hygienic Practice for Food Manufacturing and related food hygiene regulations, Good Manufacture Practice for Health Food. A hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) system should be established and implemented.

If the sites and facilities are shared, it is not allowed to produce health food and general food at the same time. The clearance management system and verification management system should be established and strictly implemented, and record should be made based on the clearance and verification results. If shared for the first time, the sites and facilities shall be verified as qualified.

If producers use sites and facilities of health food as those of general food, they should strictly follow related requirements to organize production to prevent cross-contamination and ensure product quality.
