Prepackaged foods for special dietary uses
GB 13432-2013
The labeling of prepackaged foods for special dietary uses shall meet the basic requirements specified in GB 7718 and the following requirements:
i. It shall not involve in disease prevention and treatment function;
ii. It shall meet the relevant requirements of labeling and instructions in corresponding product standards of prepackaged foods for special dietary uses;
iii. Content claim and comparison claim shall not be conducted to the essential ingredients in the formula foods for infants aged 0~6 months.
Infant formula
GB 10765-2010
5.1.1 The labeling of products should be subjected to specifications of GB 13432 and the content labels for nutrients and optional components shall increase new items of “100 kilojoule (kJ)”.
5.1.2 On the labeling, product category, attribute of infant formula product (such as milk-based or soybean-based product and product state) and applicable infant age should be indicated. And as to the formula food intended for infants of over 6 months old, “6個月齡以上嬰兒食用本産品時,應配合添加輔助食品”shall be expressed on the labeling.
5.1.3 Labeling of infant formula should be indicated with “對于0~6月的嬰兒最理想的食品是母乳,在母乳不足或無母乳時可食用本産品”.
5.1.4 Images of infants or women cannot appear on the labeling. It is not allowed to use the expressions such as “人乳化”, “母乳化”or other similar terms.
Canned complementary foods for infants and young children

6.1 The labeling of products should be subjected to specifications of GB 13432 and the nutrition information panel shall increase new items of “100 kilojoule (kJ)”.
6.2 The suitable age of infants and young children, edible methods and edible precautions should be indicated on the labeling.
6.3 For juice canned food, the contents of fruit and vegetable juice or puree should be indicated on the labeling.
Complementary food supplements

4.1 The labeling of products should be subjected to specifications of GB 13432, and marked with “輔食營養補充品”and/or similar categories as “輔食營養素補充食品”、“輔食營養素補充片”、“輔食營養撒劑”。
4.2 The labeling should be indicated the appropriate population in light of the age of the month, and marked with “本品添加多種微量營養素,與其他同類産品同時使用時應注意用量。”Products intended for infants from 6 months to 36 months should also be marked “本品不能代替母乳及嬰幼兒輔助食品”。
General standard for sports nutrition food
GB 24154-2015
5.1 The labeling of products should be subjected to specifications of GB 13432。
5.2 The labeling should be indicated “運動營養食品”and the product category on the main display panel.
5.3 If the product is not suitable for any crowd, it should be identified on the labeling.
5.4 The products, which contain creatine, the labeling should be marked “孕婦、哺乳期婦女、兒童及嬰幼兒不适宜食用”。

Pre-packaged food contains novel food
If the announcement clearly requires the consumption amount and unsuitable population to be indicated in the label and instructions, it should be labeled in accordance with the relevant announcement requirements; if the announcement contains consumption amount and unsuitable population requirements, but it is not required to be marked in the label or instruction, the food manufacturer can choose whether to mark it or not.

Announcement on Approving Panax Ginseng C.A. Meyer as Novel Food Ingredient (2012 No. 17)
The announcement requires marking "it is not suitable for pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under 14 years old, the labeling and instruction should be indicated inappropriate population and limit of consumption" on the label.
