If there is a Chinese label on the food imported by cross-border e-commerce retail, should the contents of the Chinese label meet the requirements of Chinese standards and regulations, or can the contents of the Chinese label be directly translated according to the foreign language label? If the contents not on the foreign language label need to be marked on the Chinese label, should it meet the requirements of Chinese standards and regulations?
According to the requirements of the Notice of Six Departments including the Ministry of Commerce on Improving the Supervision of Cross-border E-commerce Retail Import, if the cross-border e-commerce retail imported commodity is supervised as imported good for personal use, and it is not mandatory to attach Chinese label. Cross-border e-commerce enterprises should take the main responsibility for the quality and safety of commodities, fulfill the obligation of reminding consumers, provide consumers with risk notice on commodity order page or other prominent places, and provide Chinese electronic labels of commodities on their websites.
