The main component of the involved "Qiangsheng Smart Great Salt Lake Water" is magnesium chloride by the testing of Changzhou Food and Drug Supervision and Inspection Center. Changzhou Food and Drug Supervision Department confirmed that "Qiangsheng Smart Great Salt Lake Water" involved was a fake medicine.

Experts from the Changzhou Food and Drug Safety Committee believed: there is no evidence to prove that the ingredients of Great Salt Lake Water have the claimed effects at present; Magnesium, the main ingredient in this product can be taken from the diet normally, and people who are not magnesium deficient do not need additional supplements. The involved product does not fulfill its advertised functions, and long-term or high doses of the product can lead to electrolyte disturbance, gastrointestinal diseases such as diarrhea, and even adverse effects on the heart.

The Changzhou People's Court orders Qiangsheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., etc. to compensate consumers for the loss of 70,105,591.5 Yuan, which is three times the sales amount and apologize to the public on the national news media.
