GACC| Inspection Requirement for Imported Frozen Penaeus Vannamei

On August 14, the GACC issued an Annoucement on the Inspection and Quarantine Requirements for the Import of Frozen Penaeus Vannamei from Ecuador.

According to China's relevant laws and regulations and Protocol between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries of the Republic of Ecuador on the Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary Hygiene Requirements for Frozen penaeus vannamei exported from Ecuador to China, the inspection and quarantine requirements for frozen penaeus vannamei imported from Ecuador are now announced.


This announcement shall take effect as of the date of promulgation.


During the COVID-19, companies should carry out epidemic prevention and control in accordance with the COVID-19 and Food Safety: Guidelines for Food Enterprises formulated and issued by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization. Regular disease testing shall be conducted for company employees and necessary safety prevention and control measures of frozen penaeus vannamei shall be established. All prevention and control measures from raw materials, processing, packaging, storage, and transportation are implemented effectively to prevent pollution.
